Windows Activation

Your computer comes with a new installation of Windows 10 which you will need to activate.

This help article will guide you through the simple process.

1. Locate the 'Certificate of Authenticity’ (COA) sticker

Firstly, you will need to find the ‘Certificate of Authenticity’ (COA) sticker attached to your device. This is normally located on the underside of the laptop, or on the top of the desktop PC.

The sticker looks like the one shown.

Scratch off the silver panel to reveal the first part of the ‘Product Key’.

You may then find it useful to take a photo of it to make it easier for later

2. Activate Windows

When you have started the computer and have gone through the initial product set up, make sure you are connected to the Internet, and double click the icon on the desktop labelled ‘Product Activation’ - the icon is a picture of a key/s.

You will then be prompted to enter the complete 25 digit Product Key. The dashes will be entered automatically.

This activation can be done up to 30 days from first start up, but it's best to activate Windows sooner rather than later.

That's it! The computer is now activated. If you have any problems, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
