Designed for Education
The Chromebook Tab 10 is the perfect device for an education environment, lightweight and interactive while still offering solid performance.
Being a tablet, the screen is the main way in which students interact with it so Acer have made sure it is of the highest quality.
Featuring an ultra-sharp 9.7” QXGA (2048x1536) IPS panel, the Chromebook Tab 10’s touchscreen provides brilliant detail, vibrant colours and wide viewing angles.
Students aren’t just limited to using their finger though, the Chromebook Tab 10 also comes with a dockable Wacom EMR stylus for writing, note-taking, sketching and more.
Wacom EMR styluses don’t need a battery so there’s never any issues with it running out of charge, plus it makes the stylus small enough to slip inside the tablet to reduce the chance of it being misplaced.
The Chromebook Tab 10 features an ARM CPU which provides great performance while also ensuring excellent power efficiency, allowing the battery to last up to 10 hours on a single charge.
You also get 32GB of eMMC storage, so you have plenty of space to store classwork and projects.
Chrome OS
The Chromebook Tab runs Google’s Chrome OS as opposed to Android, like a lot of other tablets on the market. This offers a number of benefits for both students and school administrators.
The Chromebook Tab comes with the Google Expeditions app and ARCore support.
Google Expeditions is an augmented reality apps that allows students to interact with the virtual world using the tablet’s camera with virtual objects overlaid on the screen. This helps to make learning more engaging and fun.
ARCore support allows additional third-party AR apps to work seamlessly on the Chromebook Tab 10 as well – a first for a Chrome OS device.
Chrome OS also offers a number of benefits from an administrative perspective. Google’s web-based management console allows you to quickly and easily deploy and manage dozens, hundreds or even thousands of Chrome OS devices from a single dashboard.
