Refurbished Gaming PC FAQs

What type of games can a refurbished gaming PC run?

With the right monitor, our reconditioned gaming PCs can run everything from AAA sandbox RPGs to resource-intensive melee shooters.

So, whether you’re saddling up to explore the Old West in Red Dead Redemption 2 or hooking up with friends online for a League of Legends session, we’ve got you.

What specs do I need in a gaming PC?

A standard (i.e. entry-level) gaming PC requires at least 16GB RAM, an Intel Core i5-8400 processor (CPU), a 500GB Solid State Drive (SSD), and a high-grade graphics card (GPU) like the Nvidia RTX 3050. You’ll also need a cooling system to ensure your machine doesn’t overheat.

Do you build your own gaming PCs?

We do! Our Gaming PCs come pre-configured with everything you need to dive into your adventure.

The Stone Core model is more starter-friendly, with 16GB of RAM, a 500GB SSD, and an Nvidia RTX 3050 Graphics Card.

The Stone Elite model is ideal for the more seasoned PC gamer, boasting 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, and an RTX 5060 Graphics Card.

How much can I save compared to buying new or building my own?

By purchasing a reconditioned gaming PC, you may save up to several hundred pounds, discounting any accessories or peripherals you buy.

What does each gaming PC come with?

Our gaming PCs are standalone products, so you’ll need to make sure you have a suitable monitor, as well as other gaming accessories such as keyboards, speakers or webcams.

Can I get a good refurbished gaming PC for under £500?

You can! Our Stone Core Gaming PC is substantially cheaper than new, and comes pre-configured with all the specs you’ll need to begin your next adventure, making it ideal if you’re eager to enter the world of PC gaming but are working to a tighter budget.

Will I need to upgrade the components in the future to run new games?

In most cases, you’ll need to upgrade the components of your gaming PC as the core technology advances, which can be anywhere between 3 and 5 years.

As a rule of thumb, it’s best to upgrade if you notice your machine is struggling to run current titles at a performance you’re satisfied with. In some cases, this could be as simple as upgrading your graphics card. If you’re eager for a total performance overhaul, a full rebuild may be an option.

What warranty do refurbished gaming PCs come with?

Our refurbished gaming PCs come with a 1-year warranty, so in the unlikely event that your machine experiences a major fault, we’ll collect it and repair/replace any faulty components before returning it to you, free of charge. Conditions apply. Check out our warranty information for more details.

Are refurbished units different to used and second-hand gaming PCs?

Not exactly. While a second-hand gaming PC could refer to a machine in a variety of conditions (and with varying specs), a refurbished gaming PC has been fully cleaned and rebuilt by experts, as well as pre-configured with the components you’ll need to begin playing.
